Our People

NSM believes that people are its most important resource, and to maintain the quality of its human resources, it continues to imbue in them the values of hard work, leadership,  professionalism, team building, safety and performance standard, accountability, honesty and trustworthiness,  and excellence in all endeavors.

A big percentage of NSM seafarers are re-hires and each Principal has built up a pool of efficient seafarers through a rotation plan drawn up in coordination with Principals, Masters onboard and NSM office personnel.

Thus, NSM deploys only highly qualified seamen for various types of seagoing vessels:

  • Asphalt/bitumen vessels
  • Tankers all types
  • Chemical, products and liquefied gas carriers
  • Bulk and cargo ships
  • Fully automated or specialized ships
  • Car carriers

NSM seafarers have passed the local and international standards of shipping industry and flagstates according to the Standards of Training Certification Watchkeeping for seafarers 1978, as amended in 1995, 1997, and 2010 (STCW Convention).
